Steel coils are lifted one at a time with the 25 t C-hook, which holds the coil through the eye without touching the edges. On the quay and in storage we move them with forklifts of up to 16 t fitted for coils, and set them on cradles so they do not deform.
Coils can go straight from the ship to the truck or barge, with no storage in between, or be stored under cover, out of the rain. On discharge we sort them by consignee and size, and on request we carry out a condition survey with a photo report.
